87 125sport
My cuzin has a 1987 125 honda sport. It was running fine and all of a sudden when we cranked it up this morning, it has a rattling sound to the engine. Its quite loud it sounds like something is loose but its coming from within the engine. Does n e one have n e ideas at all what this could be?

Hey justin,
I think I know what your problem is. This can happen to 2 strokes sometimes ( i've found that especially when you don't change your tranny oil every 10 hours.). I think that it is one of your engine bearings. Particulary your Crankcase bearing. You can still ride the quad but the bearing could completely blow in a year or a day depending on what your engine feels like doing with itself. But until it does have fun with it becuase I think that it is a pretty expensive repair that will light a fire in your wallet! sry to tell you this....but good luck with it!
