What's it worth? (86 250R)
#1
New guy here with a what is it worth question.
I found a guy who has an absolutley mint 86 250R for sale. It is all original except for an aftermarket pipe and silencer. The frame has never been welded, and the plastic is perfect. Everything on it works, and the topend retains the standard bore. The thing looks showroom new. It has the original tires and wheels, and comes with a brand new set of paddle tires and front smoothies on douglas wheels.
The guy is asking $4500. Is it worth that? I've never seen one cleaner, but it is 17 years old. How much is it really worth? Thanks!!

I bought my 86 250r for $3000 in NY and the only things that were stock was the gas cap, the frame (which I had gusseted), the front brake calipers and the plastic. But if the machine is mint like you say it is I'd offer $4000, it's getting real hard to find a clean R for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the advice guys. I bought it today. I gave $4300 for it. Maybe more than it's worth, but the thing is incredibly clean and all original. I can't wait to start riding it.
