Taking the baffle out doesn't do much so go to www.sparksracing.com and get you a good curtis sparks pipe. They are the BEST pipe you can get no questions asked. THey add gobs of torque an extremely hard hitting mid range and a great top end. Do think about any other pipe. Go look at them right now. you wont be dissapointed.

 

Well there is a problem, I don't have the money to get another pipe. I just want to know how to take the baffle off.

 

There is no baffle on the 400ex if you take the bolts out it is just an empty canister. I have heard of people cutting the spark arrestor out and they say it will give it a deeper sound but then you will not be able to ride in some places. Best thing to do is just leave it the way it is til you have the money to buy a good pipe.

 

hey...you can easily screw the baffle out on my 400ex....it is pretty loud but sounds like crap. You just unscrew those three bolts when the exhaust is cold so they dont break. Then you just pll the canister out & fire er' up...
