Which should I buy?

if the banshee is in good condition, say it will run and you can ride it, then the banshee all the way. its top end and acceleration is much greater then the 400ex is. The 400ex is a good atv but they havnt really done anything to it since 1999.

is the 400 stock? i would go for the 400 ne way.. becuz unless u do a lot of drag. or sand racing or plan to beef up for mx the banshee is not very good. the banshee powerband is on or off. hard to get used to for a while and the 400ex will handle the best! so go for the 400ex and some money!

i agree with 2000IAWarrior,
the banshee powerband is either there or not, while the 400ex will have the smooth 4 stroke power, it is a great bike with awesome handling... unless your planning to build a bike that only goes straight, then get the 400ex and use the extra money to put a pipe and some nerf bars or something, you wont regret it.

yes in some ways if u arent a very good rider then the banshee wouldnt handle as good but thats just because of its power its something u just have to get used to. and if u want something that will go fast with low mid and top end and r a good racer or atv rider then go with the banshee. i honestly love honda but in all favor the banshee is a much better machine that u can find anything for from graphics to after market stuff for the engine. the 2 cycle 350cc engine would blow away the 400ex no doubt but it is a 2 stroke and has alot of power. and thats something u hav to get used to and know b4 u buy either one.

if you plan on being the only on rideing it and you want somthing with some baaa guts go for the banshee. but if you have kids or a wife /girlfreind that might want to ride it too sometimes then go for the 400 ex .its still a blast to ride and it will save you money on mix for the gas all the time.

I got the EX guys. Thanx for your time and thoughts. I love it so far, even though my cousin's predator will smoke my @$$. But i paid about half of what he paid and he only goes about 8-10mph faster, so i think i got a better deal.

Do you want to ride and never have to do anything but change oil and occasionally change a single spark plug, then buy the 400EX. If you want reliability, then buy the 400EX. Do you want twin carbs? Do you want to pre mix your gas? Do you want a quad that handles trails? Do you want it for the dunes? Questions only you can answer. Sorry, I posted this without reading you're final post. Good choice.
