300ex with FMF megamax, ? many dics
#1
I have a 98 300ex and just recently started to hop it up. First of course was a pipe. I went with the FMF megamax with the adjustible dics. I put all on except 2 and went for a ride. It was throaty and had power but drank my gas in a hurry. Any suggestions. ? rejeting possibly

Thrill,
First of all, if you haven't rejetted after installing the pipe, you most certainly need to do it now. You didn't say how many discs "all but two" are, but the more you add, of course, the better exhaust flow you get, & the more you need to compensate for the resulting lean condition. check your top end performance for any flat spots, missing, or cutting out, & do a plug read immediately after doing so.
I can see no correlation between excess fuel usage & your pipe/silencer unless you are simply getting on the gas more with the increased performance.
