I think they will if they get enough pressure from Yamaha and Arctic Cat.

My guess would be.....no. The snowmobile market is not in good shape. Currently very oversaturated. Manufacturers have cut back production and are having trouble selling what they are building. It is easy to find dealers with stacks of new 2000 models and even non-current new 1999's. On top of that, the margins stink. Manufacturers are offering rebates to help dealers get rid of sleds. The used market is plugged up even worse. It is definitely a buyers market out there. So a new market entrant would have to be nuts IMHO. I think Honda is a lot smarter than that.

There might be an ever so slight chance of them producing a new line of sleds. I always thought they stayed out of the market cause of that belt drive system the polaris and yahama and maybe a few others are using and the just didn't have the design.

Personally i'd rather see them try and fight the government and bring back a new line of ATC's. But i very much doubt that.

Honda won't build a monsterous 2 stroke. It's that simple. Until they find a way of getting a lot of power out of a 4 stroke (Artic Cat & Polaris currently working on that I hear with turbos). Even then I can't see it.
I mean look at all the posts in here about Honda quads not starting when it's barely cold out. A sled that won't start when it's below 50 degrees, oh the irony!

Eric,
I've seen those Redline sleds. Mean looking. But the 4 strokes need to be big cc's. 1,300cc is pretty big! Their 595cc only makes 60hp. Where the new Indy 600 makes about 110hp. I can see 4 stroke sleds in the future I suppose but they need to get more power in a smaller package.
