I am currently working on my 2000 400ex I have a T2 turbo,an eclipse intercooler,greddy BOV and a 440 kit for it to make it a kick @ss duner anyone have any info to share in my journey will be much appriciated

What compression will you be running? A lot of people usually arent big fans of high compression and boost but I for one like the effeciency and quicker spools. Hope you got someone that can tune. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Buy a banshee, and drop an 420 stroker kit in it, you will go faster at 2/3 the price and be more reliable.


I don't want to burst your bubble but I don't think air cooled engine is a good candidate for turbo changing, it seem like a huge waste of money but what do I know.

 

Wouldn't sweat the air cooled. VW have been running the dunes for years.

Sounds like alot of work for what 60HP?

I would talk to Hatty at Trinity he put a Turbo on a Raptor not to long ago. He may be able to suggest a few things tuning wise.

for 1 thing banshee blow up more often then any four stroke and thus far I have a total of $550 dallors in the 440ex kit,turbo,intercooler,BOV and misc. (tubing and filter) so the money issue is not a big deal plus four strokes are the only one with a oil supply line to even try putting a turbo on so air cooled engines are good candidate for turbo....but evry one is intitled to the own so thanks for the reply rob [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
