What exactly does a high comp piston do and how big is the power increase? If i put one in my engine is there any boring or re-sleeving needed? also what compresson do you recommend?

depending on what kit the may be sleeving and you gain is a few hps but 5 hp in a motor cycle is a good jump in power you will notice a differance

A high compression piston will give better torque on the low end and, if you add a cam and porting, will give much better performance across the entire power band. I would not do a piston change without putting the money into at least a cam, the piston by itself is not a big change. You have to take your cylinder to a machine shop *with the piston* so they can bore and hone it to spec.
