Looking for a good quad for my brother in laws woman. How is the 400 ex, any common problems that we should know about?

 

The only problem i ever have is not being able to hold on to my handle bars....

 

I kinda figured that as long as they have been out the bugs were probably worked out, but I thought I would check.

 

The only problem is the swing arm is to short get it stretched out bout 2inches and it will be fine.. handle bars are also crappy get renthals or sumthin like that..

Yeah the handlebars are junk, I replaced mine with a nice pair of 909's from FMF, the blacks look good with my yellow ex.

 

Yup.. there's a set of Renthals on my 400EX... also I'm a female, and I love the EX... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

the only prob i know about is theclutch is pretty hard to push in.
if she has never riden or oned a quad before this is not the quad for her.
mabye you should go with a trail boss or somthin smaller
400ex are pretty powerful

 

Im a women rider and will be flattrackin mine this fall.I love mine and have NEVER once had a bit of probelms with it.I hated the stock bars but big deal, you can always change that later if she wants.I think its a great quad for a girl to ride!!!! TIna

 

experience is the only problem here. the 400ex is not a fast quad.
