around here all ur bike needs is a number plate, however YOU need a helment, chest protector, gloves, boots, and goggles. If u have a 400ex i would recommmend modifying it some because around here if its not a banshee its a 250R in begginer.

How old are ya man? Are you going to be racing at Daniel Boone? I guess you know what I'm talking about I've rode on that track a few times. I didn't race but we rented it. It's a fun track. I live in Ky. fairly close to Somerset in Pulaski County if you know where that's at. I'm trying to think where Booneville is. Is it up North? Oh well good luck. If you don't have a quad and are getting one get a stock YFZ450 because it's pretty much already race ready. It will be more than competitive against non pro racers.

I figured out where Booneville is now. I don't know of any other mx tracks for sure. I know Daniel Boone is a good one. It's also fairly famous and gets a lot of exposure. A lot of good to great mx'ers and supercross bike riders have come out of Daniel Boone. I see Daniel Boone in dirt wheels and other magazines all the time in there race coverage and lots of pics of it in the mags also. It's a good track with a good turn out of fans. I'm married now but when I had a bike a few years ago there were also some great lookin women down there that love the riders. That's a definent perk if you're single. I would get better suspension and a-arms for your quad. I might also reinforce the frame with extra gusetts. You'll have to have nerf bars and a kill switch. Get a chest protector, race pants, and boots even tall steel toed work boots will do if you don't have the extra cash for the race boots. After you get better and save up some more money and if you want to stick with your ex get a bigger bore kit and a larger carb. I might get a high performance air-filter and a pipe right now if you have the dough. My name is Joey Combs and I have a yellow z400 and will be hauling it on the back of a maroon s-10 or a trailor hooked to the back of a nissan 300zx, if you ever spot me, holler at me. A buddy of mine races motorcross down there his name is Chris Salyers, he's really good go tell him you know me and he will show you around. He rides a yellow 125 suzuki. Can't remember his number, his bike used to be a famous supercross riders bike.
