hi first off i want to say hi to all the honda owners and more especially all the recon riders out there. secondly i have a 2001 recon and the carb was stolen off of it. im buying a new carb but its not off of a recon. first, would this be a good thing or will it hurt the recon?? and secondly after i put it on what kind of setting do i need to put. sorry but i really dont know anything about carbs or how to set them. thank you for your help

 

Hey welcome. I too have a 2001 Honda recon. First what is the carb you are buying and what size is it. The recons main jet is #95 and the pilot screw is 2 5/8 turns out and the needle slip is on the third setting up. Those mean nothing though with a new, different carb. You are probably gonna have to spend some time tunning it to get it to run right.
