My name is Carl, and I'm a speedaholic........ Good to meet you!!!

I bought a couple of Fourtrax 250's ('85 & '86) for $500. I figured it would be worth putting a little cash into them for that price.
The '85 is in very good condition, good tires and runs well. It will need a timing chain soon from what I can figure out, so I bought one but didn't put it in yet.

The '86 was left outside, the plastic has some holes in the rear fender and is faded, the tank is full if pinholes, the timing chain is shot, it needs tires, and it runs rich as heck. Do you think I should fix it up as funds permit, scrap it or use it for parts???

My second question is:
Are there any easy / cheap mods that can be done to the bone stock '85? Either for better power or cosmetic.
I already hacked the headlight off the top and mounted two lights in the front "carrier".
