My brother is looking to get 91 250x. The guy selling it says it has a cracked case from the cahin that popped off. He said he fixed it...can u really fix this problem or is this thing shot?

 

I fixed my old 300 with J B weld and a piece of pop can. It was like that for almost 2 years then I sold the quad.

 

Does it leak oil?

 

It didn't leak but always had a "wet" spot. Dirt would stick to it and Kind of crust up but it wasn't a problem. I took the stator cover off got the piece that fell in cuta beer canbigger than the hole laid the piece back in place and covered all sides with the J B weld and let it sit apart for a couple days put it back together and it was good.
