I would go with the twin air. The K&N have to much flow and dont pic up as much dust.

Default which air filter

I'm running a k&n with an outewears and it worx fine. My airbox lid is modified, 4 1inch holes and many squares of 1/8 inch holes running down the center, i've found this keeps the mud of of the top of the filter by sucking it through the larger 1 inch holes that are located along the outter edges of the lid. No problems with dust or mud. JMO

yea i would go with the twin ir. If the 300ex was new I would leave it alone for a while and let the engine break in

its already broken in, and do air box holes make a noticeable difference?
