Default 300ex...........POWER?????

Sure, just like anything else, speed costs money, how fast do you want to spend? Pipe & airbox, then look into higher compression piston and a drop in cam. Before spending too much though, remember the 300 at actual 282 or so is way outclassed by a relatively inexpensive EX400. Used to have an EX 300 and liked it a lot though.

well said. if you dont have to have reverse, get the 400. but i have seen modded 300's whip some ****.
they are good handling bikes too.

Im buying a new 300EX and it has a lot of power...the person im buying it off put some money it to it..first thing he did was put a 396 big bore kit on it..then he got high compression weisco pistons..White Brothers E-Series Promeg exhudst system..TwinFilter air filter..Hinson clutch dg front bumper, dg grab bar, dg nerf bars and he is pouter coating the frame the stock color..all this for 2100 in good shape..
