Hey Guys, is a 400ex a all around good quad speed, turning, brakes, mods and is it a good trail rider?????????

I love mine. People have said that they are under powered, comparatively to other quads made today. But I've met very few who can ride any quads to its fullest potential. So that point is irrelevant. They are reliable and set up very well.

 

underpowered huh? and im johnny bravo. my friend has 2 2003 400's and he can run with a stock YZ400 (thats a dirt bike just for clarification, and a big one) though 2nd gear, if u think that is underpowered, you have serious problems. The little i have ridden a 400 amkes me wants one that much more, they are quick as hell and ride great. from the little ive ridden anyway.

I wasn't saying that they are. If I thought so, I wouldn't have bought one. But if you've been around, and read any articles in Dirt Wheels or any other quad magazines they all do say that the 400EX is under powered compared to Quads like KFX400, Z400 and the crappy handling Raptor.

the 400ex is a great bike and has proven itself to be the most reliable out there!
