Default rincon gpscape question?

Just a question, will the 2004 Rincon with the GPS fit a 2003 Rincon? My dealer seems to think it will become an available part that will simply replace the old one. Does anyone know if this is true. Thanks for any information.

I don't really understand your question, "Will the 2004 Rincon GPScape fit a 2003 Rincon?". I you would clear this up, I would be happy to help you.

Raybourque are you talking about the pod? If you are im sure the wiring harness is different, also there has to be an antenna some where.I bet it would be pretty pricey to be converted. I also thought about this for my 01 Rubicon but figured it would not be worth the cost, I guess I will pick me up a new hand held GPS with more features and cost alot less money.

I am half tempted to pick up a new GPScape Rubicon, a red one. They will be here in 6 more weeks.

Default rincon gpscape question?

I think people will be disappointed with the Honda GPS. I use a handlebar mounted Garmin Vista. When shopping at a dealer this week I questioned him about the operation of the Honda unit. I am not sure that he knew what he was talking about but if he did, the unit will be hard to use and not very useful. For example, on a good gps, you enter a waypoint and give it a name or number for that set of coordinates. According to the dealer, you must enter a set of coords each time you want to go to another waypoint. That means you will have to keep up with all of the coords or memorize them and enter each one as you need it. According to him, the Honda does not let you name the waypoint and store it. I hope he is wrong because a gps is a great feature to have and a barrel of fun to use. That $200+ can buy a good gps that will be of more use.

We have a Rancher AT with GPS. The gps is a nice toy but not worth the money. Get a handheld unit with maps for less cash!

FYI: You can enter in up to 100 waypoints. You can mark the spot you are stoped at or enter them in manualy.
