400ex Headlight Short
#1
Has anyone else seen any shorting going on behind the headlight assemblies? 2 buddies and i own 400's, 2 of three have shourted and blown the main fuse due to running through the insulation on the blue wire behind the headlight assembly. If your main fuse blows, try disconnecting the headlight harness and then replace the fuse. if it doesnt blow right away, consider pulling the lighting harness off, and looking behind the rubber boots that snap onto the back of the reflector. the blue wire(in these cases) had worn through and popped the fuse by wearing on the shiny metal electrical connector directly behind the rubber boot.
good luck.
