WHAT BRAND OF OIL TO USE??
#2
there has been some debate over this very question. i for one, use standard motor oil in my ATVs (both Rincons) and always have in the ATVs i owned before. my honda dealer was actually the one that told me not to waste the money on the manufacturer oil, and they filled it with Penzoil right out of the box for me. the most important thing is to put the right weight oil in and to change it on time.

Pennzoil is the worst oil in the world in my book. Valvoline in my truck is the only way to go. But for your quad since it doesnt take very much go with the manufacture's brand.

I also use valvoline 10w40 In car-truck-motorcycles-and 4wheelers. I would stay away from the synthetics. they can cause clutch problems.

Listen up folks,
I worked at Citgo Petroleum for over 10 years as a blender and tankerman. Oil is oil. The Honda oil comes out of the same tank as Citgo branded oil does. Here is a tip: so does the generic oil you see at speedway and Clark stations... Use the weight that your model calls for, keep changing it on a regular basis and you will be fine.
