I just received the aluminum wheels I order and put them on my Honda, the problem is i did'nt order lug nuts because I thought my stock ones would work fine. When I put the lug nuts on the studs they only threaded halfway down the nuts. The aluminum wheels are thicker in the center than my stock wheels. My question is if anyone has encountered this and what was your solution, or is it necessary to purchase new lug nuts?

Check to see if the new rims are tapered or flat where the lugs go on. If it is flat make sure that you are not trying to put tapered lugs on them. If you have tapered lugs and flat rims, you will need to get new flat lugs. Dura-Blu has the billet alum. flat lugs.

Thanks, I just received my rear wheels and tires today and they came with flat lug nuts. The front wheels came with no lug nuts, I'm calling to see why now.

I was going to try that but my stock lug nuts have a flanged end that will not allow a socket wrench to be placed over it.

If you have a 250r, 300ex or a 400ex just turn the tapered lug nut around and they will work just find. The only problem that you will have is that the hole on the rim will get smaller after you tighten the nut down a few times. We have to drill out the hole on the rim every so often. This can be stopped by using washers between the rim and the lug nut. If you don't drill out the hole, you can not get the rim off of the axle quickly. This has happened to use during a race when we had to change a flat and it was no fun.

when I put my itp .190's all the way around on my 250r I simply turn the lug nut around and put a washer on it. and torque it to 20 foot pounds. same thing when I put the rear wheels on my 300ex.
