Honda 250x
#1
I am soon to purchase a 250x but want some questions answered first:
What is the top speed of this quad?
What year did they start making them and what year did they stop making them?
I hear that they are pretty darn fast! Is this true?
I hear that they (the old 250x's) can smoke a 400 ex. Is that true?
and lastly, what is a resonable price for a used 250x completely stock? I saw a 87' for about 1000$$
Thanks a bunch for your help!

ok, well i don't know hom much i can help you, but i'll try. fist of all i think the top speed is about 56 = or - a few mph. they started making them in 87 and quit in 92. and in 93 they converted into the 300ex. i think. and no a 250x cannot smoke a 400ex. you might be thinking about the old 250r 2 stroke. i don't know how mucha stock one would go for. i think i got my modded one for 1600. thats al i can help with. im only 13 and don't know alot. lol.

well i think i may be able to help u. for starters a 250x will not even touch a 400ex and they go about 55 mph and if u get a decent one that is in reasonalble shape it will go for around 1500 and if it has alot of mods maybe like 2000 and how much do u weigh and how tall are u. if ur a big guy i would not suggest a 250x they are small and slow. i would suggest a 400 u can get stock ones for a decent price now.

Mine is plenty fast for what I do. It has plenty of grunt and I can barely shift throught the first 3 gears fast enough. It might be the gearing I have but it is all the power and speed I would need. I am kinda partial to the reverse even though it is a pain to engage.
