My dealer here wants $6647.52 out the door for the Rancher 400 AT. And they don't budge much if you try to talk them down, or offer to pay cash the full amount.
Rancher 400 AT MSRP $5999
Rancher 400 AT GPScape $6199

All I can say his if that dealer can sell it for that price more power to him because if the area's consumer will come in off the street and will pay that price then that is what the machine sells for.

Shop out of state, like @ Honda dealers in Denver (Fay Myers, Sun Honda) or Price, UT. Find these dealers on Honda's home page. When you buy out of state, you usually don't pay any sales tax. It's not unusual for Honda dealers to arrogantly sell for over MSRP. Don't pay it! It only encourages them. Shop and support dealers that compete with lower prices, just like you would when buying gasoline. Even with a Honda you may need warranty repairs, and I have heard of shops refusing to work on machines they didn't sell, so watch out for that. I would buy a lesser brand if it meant doing business with a better dealer, personally. Good luck. For example, All-Terrain in Grand Junction is a Yamaha dealer with an excellent reputation. People travel over 200 miles to do business there.

Wyowheeler, I am in Cheyenne. The dealer here in town is a crook!!!!!!!!!!! I am going this morning in fact to Ft. Collins to deal on a Foreman. On the phone they quoted me prices of at least 600.00 under MSRP. They used to be Loveland Honda but now are in Ft Collins right off of I 25 . We have bought from them before and had goood luck. Where in Wyoming are you?

This is what I paid for my quads...
Purchased in July
2003
650 Rincon
$6137
Picking up tonight..
2004
400 Rancher AT GPS
$5399
Those prices are before fees... I called a bunch of dealers up, got prices and then called the dealer close to the house. I told him I will drive to get these prices but I want to keep my business local. I told him if he could meet the prices I will buy from him. He did and here I am buying my second one from him tonight!

My dealer wanted $6,200 for my Z400. My dad told him he would somewhere else, so they sold it to us for MSRP. We were out the door with a $6,200 dent in the wallet. Mt. Hood Suzuki and Honda is selling them for something like $5,299...
They sold me sone Razrs for $60 for the set, see how much they know...

albee39, I am in Lovell. My nearest dealers are in Cody and Billings, Mt. Both of them are over 50 miles away. Im going to check out the one in Colorado. Can you get around the sales tax in your county by paying cash in another state? Congradulations to nutcase for the deal on the Rincon. My dealer sells the 03 for $7500. Thats after you talk him down. Rancher 400 At without GPS, $6100. Thats his "bottom dollar".
