I think honda should really ruffle Yamahas feathers by pricing it at $5999.00
And then let the price wars begin.

Depends on what they use for the frame work and suspension. If its comparable to the Yfz I am saying around 8200...

I am gonna guess that it will be $6499. I am probably dreaming for a bigger deal then they will offer, but o well. I don't have a quad, and I am buying one either this winter or early next spring, so I am definitely going to put some serious consideration into the TRX450R.

I was told by a Honda rep they would probably be $7200, $6900 if we're lucky. Even if they are the same MSRP as the YFZ you won't get one for less initially. He also said it would be more bike at the same weight. I smell reverse. I know alot of guys are bagging on Honda about the reverse but remember, Suzuki added reverse and H2O cooling to the Z400 and kept it the same weight as the 400ex. Two years ago I would have been mouthin' off too but I spend 95% of my time at the dunes. If has reverse and is the same as the YFZ performance-wise I see it as a plus. I can see where the MX community might be against it but it doesn't seem to be holding the Z bikes back on the track.

I'm sick of seeing quad prices go through the roof.
they do it cause they know we want it.
I know people who have paid 8000 OTD for the new yamaha, Why? Because they just had to have it.
Did they ever ride one before? NO!
Did they know how it ran? NO!
Did they have any idea how it handled? NO!
Did they know it was the right quad for them? NO!
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Yamaha could have put a 700 motor in a warrior frame and asked
7500 for it and people would have bought it because it was new and bigger.
I would just like to see Honda put out a good product at decent (down to earth) price,
if they did that they would make millions.

 

It WILL NOT Have Reverse.. People Emailed Honda About These Concerns About The 250R Going Extinct And People Wanting Another 250R.. They Are Making A 4-stroke 450CFX Due Late 2003.. Witch Is Around This Time.. Has: Low Susspension Top Grade Tires, Alloy Rims, 5 Speed Trans. Looks ALOT Like The 250R From The Late 80's.. Honda Will Be On Top With This One.. WITHOUT A DOUBT!!
