I have a 99 400ex and haven't had any problems with the clutch at all. In fact all I have done to it is change the oil. And it gets rode pretty hard cause every time we go riding, we always end up racing up a sand hill or two. And I ride with guys who have banshees and 250rs and one quadzilla. So I have to run pretty hard to keep up sinse the 400 is stock.
