FourTrax 125 question
#1
I just got a Fourtrax 125 to screw around with before I get my license - and I'm pretty new to 4-wheelers. It's running pretty well - but starting it is difficult. I was wondering if anybody with a 125 could tell me the best way to start it? Also - how well does yours run after you start it...does it idle on its own? Thanks for any help!

I'd be patient, you are logging on at a pretty slow time.
I don't know much about the 125, but I would clean the carb and all the passageways out with your choice of carb/brake cleaner and compressed air. Sounds as if you may have some crud as you allude to the fact it may not idle all too well either...and the two are probably linked. My wifes lt 230 quad sport starts with the choke pulled and no throttle, and then you have to let it warm up and slowly take off the choke before you give it any gas or it will stall. Or...it will start without the choke and give it a healty kick and some throttle, it won't idle until it fully warms up though.

Why did they even bother making a Fourtrax 125? My fourtrax is a 250 and it's slow. It could be faster but it's geared for power. I can imagine a fourtrax 125 will have difficulty pulling itself up a hill
