I have a 02 300ex. I stated having problems down shifting. All the gears worked fine, but I'd have to let the clutch out just a little bit to make it go into the next gear. This would only happen going from 2nd to 1st. All the other gears worked fine. Then I went riding the other day and know when I shift from 1st to 2nd it hits neutral and I have to pull up pretty hard to get it to go into 2nd. It did it a couple of times and then it didn,t do it for about two hours. We went out for one last ride before we left and it did it again. I,ve been working alot since then and haven't had time to look at it. Just looking for some ideas on what it might be. thanks for your help.

 

the same thing happened with my blaster.the clutch is wearing out.it was hard shifting from 1st to 2nd and vice versa.then it just wouldnt even shift at all after a little more riding.its under 100 bux 2 get a nice quality barnett clutch kit so it shouldnt hurt ure bank account too much.the barnett clutch is also a lot more durable so u would have 2 replace the engine before the clutch gave out again.hope this helps.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
