Are these two machines teh same? i have ridden the 300 but are they the same saze(physical) and are they the same speed(55-60)mph. what mods can I put on teh 250x to get it up to 65.

the 300EX is a little longer, and maybe wider. it has a bigger engine and lots more power. the 300EX is about 5 mph faster too. to get the 250 to 65mph i would add a pipe, headers, air filter, and jetting. if that doesn't do it then u can mess with the gearing to get more speed.

 

I just got done flipping thorugh dirtwheels and it says they use the same frame and plastics. So it should have the good handling of a 300ex.

I said 250X not 250ex, just making sure you knew that.

 

I posted this info a few months ago about all the differences between the two machines. The 300ex is the same quad with the addition of the electric start and a bunch of subtle changes. The 300ex is a stroked 250x engine and is actually about one mph slower because it has a lower rev limit and the extra wieght of electric starter and battery. top speed on both is in the low 50s and you have to do a lot of engine work to break 60. The 300ex was detuned to give it a more rider friendly powerband . If you want to go 65 mph buy a 400ex they have the suspension to match the 10 more horsepower they have over a 300ex,250x.

the 300ex is doing 17.9 HP to the wheels, stock and is maxing out high 50's got mine 57 stock(hooked up a GPS, that is on it within like 1/4 of a MPH)

 

No money for the 400ex

 

i think the 250x and the 300ex are the same quad speed wise
