I am going to get some new tires and lots of people have told me to get the Kenda Bearclaws or the Maxxis Surtrack.
I ride on mud, sand, snow and hardpack and I own a 1998 Honda Recon.
Which tires are lighter?
Which ones will perform better on my atv?
If you have any info on these tires please tell me
thanks

Don't know much about the suretracks, but I love my Bear Claws. Their great in mud and on hard pack. I haven't had them in the snow yet.

The majority of the Honda's in our club use the Sur Traks. I believe they are a lighter tire that the Bear Claws. Great traction in muddy, sloppy conditions like up here in the NorthWest.

No info on Bear Claws.

I am getting Sur Traks for my wifes Recon. I will probably get her 23" tires to give her an extra 1/2 inch of ground clearance. The 23's will need to be on an aftermarket aluminum .190 rims. The rims cost about $100 for a pair, if you purchase the tires.

Here is something to consider. I checked with 2 different ATV dealers & they want $15 & $15.40 for each tire they mount on a new rim. So really you get a set of aluminum rims for $70.

i have sur tracks on my recon they are good in the mud and on the trail theyre also reversable while bearclaws arent but a friend of mine has a timberwolf with them on there and hes had them longer and ours look about the same tread wise they are also good in mud last a long time too if you ride on hard pack or the road id get the bearclaws because theyre 4ply while sur tracks are 2 ply

Recon Dude,

What size did you put on your REcon 22 or 23 or 24 inch Sur Traks?
