well i guess if you flying a 60ft gap throwing it in reverse can really off-set the gyro on the tires aiding in the that you come off a lip a lil squirly and need to drop the front end...thats what these race bikes need! REVERSE! now i understand...

I know when i buy my next street bike im going to spring for the reverse function as well...cough

You never know how much them racers need reverse .. Picture this during the race the guy with electric start and reverse pushed the button and started running the laps backwards .. everyone would probably stop and start wondering WTF he is doing .. while they are standing there watching in amazement the guy running in reverse is actually winning the race .... Or getting Disqualified for being a jack@ss.. Either way what else would you need reverse for ?

you guys dont think an electric start is a nice feature when racing mx and you stall out? Maybe not for the professionals but for the rest of us it sure does save some time.

One time i used reverse on my z .. but i think that was it... i backed up to my brother when he got his 400ex stuck in a really deep mudhole.. I drove a car without reverse for over a year ... so i learned not to Rely on it ..

i wouldnt go off calling me an idiot and a moron. Let me ask you, how often did gust stall his bike? If you want to get mean, i can go there too ridley

In all honesty, if you have a warm machine, you can kick start a bike just as fast as you can hit a button

I don't mind, I had a quad with reverse and never used it. A 2 wheels drive with reverse doesn't work very well, except backing out of a garage. Any place I needed to use reverse, my quad would just spin out anyways. Not starting an arguement, just telling you of my experiences with reverse and 2 wheel drives.

that is true, reverse isn't really all its cracked up to be. I do all my riding in the sand and I see guys trying to use it out there all the time and it usually doens't get them anywhere but stuck. But if you ride other places maybe it workds fine

Honda made the right decision by leaving off the lazy man e-start feature. E-start is for people too dumb to know how tio start their quad. Reverse is not necessary for racing so it isn't there either. For the cry babies there is always the Yamaha, whichs looks to weight he same with e-start.
