The 450 Stands Alone...

Just like this picture, the Yami 450 stands alone.
Bring on the flames, but after the late night show with the marketing "stiffs" Honda has brought absolutely nothing impressive to the table. They let the cat out of the bag to slow the bleeding.
The show stopper was the liter RR. Now I'm impressed with that.
I will not say another word about the TRX450R until one passes me going up Sand Mountian.

I think that this is a step backward for Honda. Everyone has different needs and wants when it comes to an atv. I need and want an electric start and reverse gear. The Mojave has taken alot of negative press over the years for it's hard starting kick start but at least the Mojave has reverse. Unless this new Honda develops wings like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang that allows it to fly past all the competition, I think I'd lean more towards another brand. If I had a 250R, I certainly would not sell it to step sideways into a 450R.
I think something was loss in the translation from English to Japanese or something.
Reverse- Abekobe,hantai--- Electric- Denki no---Start- Hajimeru
I know that some people will be perfectly happy with the new 450R but I am not. It could have been Great!

Considering the commitment to redo the whole R-1 which was already brand new, one has to agree that Yamaha has made the decision to be at the front of the pack, period. They don't sit around there watching what everyone else is going to do.
Make dust or eat dust. Yamaha's makin' it.

I agree cracky. The bike wasnt designed for play riding, trail riding, family riding. Its a RACE machine. I dont see farr, gust, jones, ect using the reverse on their bikes. Maybe the reverse feature would really help when hitting those doubles and triples....
