My last one cost $75 for the complete frame and suspension but that was a couple of years ago. I also did the sandblasting myself . Small parts are 5 to 10 and larger parts are 10 to 25. Have you ever seen some cool silver vien? I might have a pic laying around somewhere.

I've see silver vien before in pics and i wasen't very impressed. Mabey it looks better in person. I was leaning towards black or red with prism powder.

How hot does the heat shield get. I powdercoated an exhaust system red once and the headpipe burned off but the muffler discolored in spots to a tan color but stayed on. PC can handle around 500 degrees before you run into trouble. I have some stuff right now that is silver with a clear over it that looks really close to polished aluminum. Pm me with your email and I will send you some pics.

ok I know this question must have a totally obvious answer but I'm pretty new to riding. Does powdercoating have any benefits other than looking great? Does it cause the frame not to rust? Basically I just want to know what the advantages are

dsbomb just have the exhaust cover crome dipped and don't worry about powder coating it. If chrome dippes header pipes can stand most of the heat then just an exhaust cover should hold up fine

The main benefits are, beautifully smooth finish (no drips and the thickness of the material should be consistant because it is electrically bonded to the metal and then baked on) and it is far more durable than paint. It doesn't chip or wear as easily as paint does.
