I had a tranny problem with my '01 400EX.
I heard through the "Grapevine" that it was covered under a factory recall.
I am not the original owner, I bought it used.
I need to find a list of Factory Recalls for the 400Ex.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it...

The only recall that I have heard about was on the rear brake pads being put on wrong and it was a simple fix. What you might be thinking about is the '01 Raptor with it's trans problems. The only problems that I know about with the 400 was the 99 swingarms braking but was fixed in later years.

 

Same here. I own a 2000, 2001, and 2003 and have never heard of any recalls on any of them.
