hi i am doing a 400 big red piston and rings i have pulled the head off and i need some help getting it back together
when setting the cam timing which marks on the cam are the marks you have to line up for tdc there is a dot at the 12 o clock and 2 lines one at 3 and one at 9 i think the dot faces the top but i am not sure does anyone know??
also to take the piston off the rod i have taken both piston rod retaining circlips but the piston pin will not move am i doing this correctly??
i dropped one of the circlips down the timing chain hole so i pulled off the clutch cover and found it very lucky
also on the cam chain tensioner how do you release the pressure on the tensioner a have taken the bolt out and it has done nothing am i doing this right?
