on my 300ex the metal thing inside my filter is gone.....the back of the filter is really thin and I think its getting too much air cause it hesitates sometimeswhen I gun it.....anyways K&N filters are good right? what about going through water? I'm thinking about getting the K&N power kit since it comes with jets and all the stuff I need..I don't have to rejet or anything just by putting in the k&n filter do I? not until I get a pipe right? let me know what you think of your K&N filter. thanks

When you change the airflow with aftermarket filters you have to change your jet.

yeah, i just bought a K&N atv power kit for my 400ex, and it tells you exactly which jets to use... just make sure you know your carb, like where the main jet is and where the air/fuel mixture screw is
