Tina,
Well, the high ender will cost about( I am firing from the hip):
Piston and sleve $250
Valves $150 and up
Hard face rockers $280
Cam $175
Carb $450
Black Box non adj $100 adj $300
Carillo Rod $180
Head studs $ 50
HD Timing Chain $50
Bore and hone/ install selve $100-$150
P&P $200-$250
The lower ender will cost about:
Piston $130
Cam$150
Carb $450
Bore/ Hone $60
P&P $200-$250
Hope this helps. I would guess you will spend about $200-$350 in labor on the lower ender, and twice that on the top (splitting the case for the rod).
Good Luck

thanks! WOW........ I was planning right around 1100.00 in total cause I still need A-Arms and shocks too. but it sounds like for 1100.00( or somewhere near that Amt) I should be able to still get a great performer...

You could buy the carb later, and run the stocker for now. But, I am here to tell you that you will fell so much power from a carb, its worth it!

i dont think you see any horsepower gain out of getting carbs....youll notice better throttle response, and better performing engine....i would let the carbs be the last or later things you buy...

Well since I have the exact motor I described, and ran it with out a carb for a few months and then put it on, I can say I KNOW that it will add power, throttle response, and overall performance.
My friends 440 with stock carb was faster than mine until I got the carb, now its no race.
