Default 250R Bills Pipe

I just recently bought a used bills pipe and silencer($175) for my 86 250r, the pipe is only a few months and old and is in great shape anyways. I tried to put it on the other day and when i tried to put the pipe in i reaazied it doesnt fit where the stock pipe went. The piece he gave me to connect from the engine itelf to the the pipe is a staight about a foot and half long. I looked at my old stock pipe and it had a short curved piece so i was like he gave me the wrong piece(the guy owns a aftermarket store) so i went back and they said that the piece is supposed to be like that and thats where the hp gain is so im like ok but i didnt talk to the guy who sold me it cuz he wasnt there, see it was his old pipe on his 86 R, anyways when i try to put it on makeing the pipe go a different way it still wont fit and even if i could get it to fit i looks like the a-arms would crush it so i need your help on how to put it on, your input would be greatly appreciated

That is the right pipe and it has all the right angles. First- Take the part that is 1 1/2 feet long (that and only that) Put that piece on first. Then take the rest of the head pipe and put it on. There just be springs to hold on the long striat piece to the cylinder. And there should be one or 2 for the other piece of the head pipe to hook onto the striat piece. If the head pipe dosnet bold on anywhere dont worry yet. Then put the silencer on and bolt it on. (if the silencer dosnet bolt up then you have the wrong one) Check and make sure the pipes are all steardy.
