Default 300 EX, nah!!

Would is a typical price for a 1998 Honda 300 EX ATV that has new front tires, new front plastics and looks and runs good?

What's the typical price? I know a guy who wants $1500.00 for his and I rode it today.. I didn't really like the feel of it.. I'm used to ATV's such as the Rancher, Foreman, Recon, etc and this one felt weird, it felt like I was sitting in the quad and real low instead of on top like on the others.. But maybe it just takes some getting used to??

So is $1500 a good deal and what's the normal price?

Also does the 400EX feel the same?

KBB really doesn't help much because it just has the retail (what a dealer would sell it for) and trade in (what a dealer might give you) it doesn't have private party sale. So what prices have you guys seen these sell for usually>?

A 300ex does sit a lot lower than most quads, especially utilitys. With the lower seat and higher bars it feels really comfortable to me but I ownn the quad so im used to it.

On kbb.com i wouldn't use the retail, unless it is in perfect running condition. Because the dealer would fix it up some to meet retail standards. And trade in is a little low because the dealer has to stand behind the machine to make improvements. The best thing to do is take the average (add both and divide by 2). Unless you can get the guy to sell it for the trade-in value.
