well damn. if it was that easy youd have thought they would have done it years ago when people first started complaining that they didnt have enough power.

 

The 2004 will flat out run the other years of 400ex"s. That is why the price on the 2003 are down around $4000.00 to $4300.00. I do not know what all they did to the 2004 but it is alot faster.

 

All they did was bump the carb up from 35.5 to 38mm. It's the same pumper carb as before....just bigger. Most guys with engine mods have bumped up to the FCR 39mm or Edelbrock 38mm carbs. It makes a world of difference.

 

27 is the number i hear the most. does the carb really help that much?

 

2004 little over 30 they put in a 36mm carb this year
