14 tooth front sprocket or keep stock?

Default 14 tooth front sprock or keep stock?

I want to get some more accerlation from my 400ex. i'm not sure what my stock front sprocket is but moving to a 14T front sprocket would it make me have more get up and go with my 20" razors in the rear. also how much top end will i lose?

isnt the 400ex's front a 13T? So you would loose some accerlation and gain top end.

no! the 300ex has a stock 13tooth the 400ex has a 15tooth


it gives more torke and beter hill climbing ability
(sorry can't spell worth beens)

With the added torque, you can wheelie a lot easier too.

I think you'll end up losing 4MPH. But your Torque will be so much better. You can take corners a lot quicker and get out of them quicker. I hear that a guy had to shift down to 2nd in a corner, but with his 14t front sprocket, he coudl keep it in third and he did a lot better overall.

i have the 14t and it HELPS alot, get it you will be sattisfid!! you lose about 5 or 6 mph, not big. i race alot so i don't care about top speed.

yeah i just put the 14 on and it did make a pretty good difference. but still haven't got enough open space to see how much i lost on top but so far happy.

Well if you don't have enough open space, it doesn't matter. I dare you to go down to 13t
