Looking for case halves for 250R
#1
My counterbalancer bearings flew apart ruining my counterbalancer and my case halves, I think the crank is still good. And I really dont think they are fixeable. I would rather have new ones than chance welded ones. So now Im looking for some case halves and a counterbalancer. Cal-atv.com is has been about the only place to sell case halves that I can find. They offer case halves with new bearings and seals already installed for $262 for each side. Does anybody else know of any better deals? Still havent found a counterbalancer, but havent been looking very hard for it.
Thanks for any input in advance.

ESR sells their machined case halves with bearings cheaper than that, around $450 I think. Check out Service Honda's website. They are a lot cheaper than Ronnie's ATV on OEM parts.

oldsandman, i sent you pm. I would like to know how that ESR pv is working for you. I would like to look into something like that a little more. Im just on a limited budget right now, and kinda doing it piece by piece on my own. How does it compare to other engines? Reliability? What gas do you run in it?

Has the ESR website been down lately? Im not having any luck with it. I have one of there catalogs from a year or two ago, I dont think much has changed since then, but I dont remember seeing anything else than the 310 kits and 370 kits, but no pvs. Who knows........

I pm-ed you. ESR's web site isn't much help...hasn't been updated in a while. You are better off just calling and talking to them. You'll learn alot more and also get some ideas on what they can do.
