I have AC nerfs on my 400ex and i like them. i ride in the woods and in the mud and on all kinds of terrain and i have not had any problems with them. if they get hung up more than likely something else is going to get hung up first. I do have the stock mud gards on mine they work fine. hope this helps.

I have the Pro-Armor nerfs. I really like them. I wasn't able to keep the stock heel guards on due to the fact that these nerfs have a built in heel guard that looks pretty awesome. I ride in all types of terrain from sandy river beaches to trails in the woods and have never had a problem with them getting hung up on anything.

the nerf bars mount on top of the frame so they shouldn't get hung up on ne thing. sometimes the stock heel gaurd makes it a pain in the butt to get the nerfs on, but if u work at it and know what u r doin (i didn't the first time i installed some, it took me 3 hours) it wont be too hard.

If you're open to suggestions...please do yourself a favor and look into the Graydon Proline nerf bars. I have never had a problem with them...and we've had five sets on 5 different quads over the years, they are extremely sturdy(we use the nerf bars to lift them and move them around in the enclosed trailer. At least take a look at them...
