Default Rincon Reviews?

I'm interested in entering the 4-wheel drive world and a local dealer has 3 '03 Rincons left over. I was wondering what input this forum would have. I'm also interested in the 700 Prarie and the Grizzly. Comparisons would also be appreciated along with any known problems like the boiling gas in the Grizzly and the need of better clutch springs in the Prarie.

Get the Yamaha or Kawasaki.... the Rincons are leftover because they are so "awesome". A dealer friend of mine just had to take a Rincon in on trade with only 200km on for a new Grizz. Ride them all before you buy and see for yourself.

A professional review is good but customer reviews are generally better and will also spell out any problems over time that a unit has. The professional reviews were pretty poor for a DS 650 but customer reviews were ecstatic and I agree with the customers. I have chosen a lot more products because of customers than the professionals.

I LOVE MY DAD'S RINCON!! I rode the Grizzly, Prarie, and every other large untility out there from people around town being so kind as to let me, and the Rincon was by far the best and that is why we chose it. It is very quick and can go through those mudholes the Grizzly can't if you just hook it up with some tires (it is a must-do!). I would not overlook this quad and don't miss out on your chance to get the '03 for cheap!

Like I said earlier, ride them. I think you will buy the Grizz if you want power and ride, the Kawi if you want more power and less ride. You will buy the Honda if you like less "snort" and less pulling power. I've ridden them, so should you. Another important factor is a dealer, if you only have Yamaha or Honda in your area I would pick from them, I wouln't go out of my area for another brand. You will need parts and service at some point.

i love my rincon. It goes great. Enough power for everyday use. I have raced a sp700 and a griz660. Very close races. Whoever got the jump out of the hole got the race. The p650 would beat us all every time!!! But no IRS. Griz has a softer ride than the honda but sacrifices handling. The honda corners flat with great precision. On the otherhand the griz is a better rock crawler since the IRS seems to have more articulation. The polaris is meant for work more than play. Hope we can help you decide without being to biased. Good luck!

Before you buy the Grizzly, check some of the Yamaha forums. There have been serious complaints on surging and gas boiling, all relating to overheating.

buy the grizzly and if you have any of those problems i'll tell you how to fix it. you'll be better off in the long run. my cousing is a lifelong honda fanatic and he bought a rincon. he actually admitted to me that he thought it wasn't all that great. he said for a 650 it ought to have a lot more low end. grizzlies have low range, front and rear disc brakes and a hitch standard. and whoever said their rincon can go through mud that a grizz can't needs to lay off the pipe.

Honda builds a good product, always have. BUT they are very overrated, youll get a lot more for your money with the Yamaha, which is every bit as reliable.....Yep, I'm biased, because I've owned them both.
