Default Rancher or Wolverine?

I have a Warrior now and while I love going fast, I need something more reliable, less maintenance, and more trail worthy. My friend has a Foreman and they have 200 acres in the mountains of Tennessee, so thats a lot of where it will be ridden. We also like to ride around here, trails and mud. Which one is better? I think the Wolverine is a little sportier, but which is more reliable? Have any of you Wolverine or Rancher owners ever had ANY problems with yours? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A friend has a wolverine and it rides smoother than my rancher did but the rancher seemed more suitable as a utility quad for towing and hauling loads.

You have to ask if a Honda is more reliable than a Yamaha???

We have a 02 Rancher 4x4 ES and I think it is a very capable ATV and fun to ride. We have had no problems but only have 1100 miles on it so I wouldn't expect any. Easy and inexpensive to keep maintained also. It's a great all around ATV.

if you are looking for more reliability with the wolverine then your wrong. the wolverine has the same engine as the warrior. the rancher would be slightly less sporty, but would be much more reliable.

I don't know what is wrong with your Warrior??? It is one of the most dead solid reliable machines there is. Don't get me wrong, I HATE Warrior handling (I rode one for years!), but they are extremely reliable. And maintenance is no more than any other bike.

That said, we love the Ranchers and have had no problems of any kind.

Reconranger, I really do like my Warrior a lot. I haven't had to do a single thing to it. I had a Beartracker and thought I wanted something sporty, and the first time we went trail riding after I got the Warrior, I was regretting it. All we rode in was mud and hills. I got stuck over and over and covered in mud. My friend just got some land in the Tennessee mountains and I need something with more clearance and versatility. I like the Warrior's speed and reliability, but the transmission, chain drive, and clutch and lack of racks make it a pain for camping and mudding. BSA, I noticed you're from Georgia, have you ever been to Durhamtown. Has anyone ever had anything go wrong with their Wolverines?

Oh, and Reconranger, is the 4x4 Rancher a lot harder to turn than the 2x4? Thanks again.
