Hey my dad and I just picked up a atc110 to just play around on and when we try and put in it high gears it wont go. Its stuck in low range. So we pulled off the cover and found that there was a spacer not allowing it to slide it to go to the high gears so we took that off and now it moves but when you try and go in the high range gears its like its in nuetral and just wont go anywhere. Also when your riding in low range it pops into high range sometimes and acts like you hit nuetral. I am guessing it is missing a gear because the guy said that he took something out or put something in to make it so his kids couldnt go into high range gears ...... Im stumped

 

Make sure that shaft you took the spacer off is not corroded,I believe that has to move freely in order to shift between hi & lo.It sounds
like it's hanging up until it gets jarred while riding.

listen if u want my advice at all, get ride of it, 110 are the worse machines made by honda, i blew it away on my 12 horsepower elan (skidoo ) , with someone on back with me, then when we got to the top of the hill, it caught his leg on fire, there nothing but trouble,

kawaski kx80 - the most retarted dirtbike ever clocked doing 105, but its an 80
o yea can't forget the 6 gears and the power bands,(god dam kawaski)

ATC110's are pretty tough. A friend of mine has one he dogs it like crazy and it holds up good. He even rigged up a turbocharger on it. I have some videos of him jumping it. click
