i was in the polaris forum and some guys asked if he can get a scrambler to beat a 440ex, i myself has a z400. but anyway i responeded a put the 440ex will beat the hooked up scrambler and then i said my stock z pisses all over the stock scrambler, well he said that he can put 2 grand into his bike and beat a z440 and a 440ex now is that funny or what!!! it would cost him 2 grand when it would cost like 900$, i thought maybe i would tell you guys this, so i can give you guys a laugh.

o man, i wish i had enough cash that i could blow 2 grand on a scrambler. i'm havin trouble gettin enough cash for a $180 416 kit. lol, thanx for the laugh.

 

If he is talking about a well built 400. That quad will kill the Z and EX in a drag. Two stroke will always beat a four stroke with the same CC.

 

A 416 kit is only $125.00. All it is is a 87mm piston. Get a Wiseco piston 11:1 and a Cometic top end gasket set. That is a 416 kit.

 

the dudes scrambler is a 400.

 

the only suggestion i have is don't get wiseco. most people think they are god because of the name. both ross and je pistons are suppose to be of higher quality and stronger pistons. also, the wiseco pistons won't be the correct compression ratings. for example, my ross 10.8 compression piston is actually higher compression than the wiseco 11:1 compression piston. this wiseco piston is actually made for the xr400 dirtbike. however, this piston fits right into a 400ex without any problems.

 

You can get 70 hp out of a 400 scrambler with 2g's pretty easy, probly not even that much. And it would be damn fast drag racing, but would you really want to race it in a mx race or a gncc.
