300ex hates water
#1
I know this question has been asked but I haven't found an answer yet. I have dielectric greased everything and it still spits and sputters when I hit water. Has anybody found something to prevent my wheeler from stalling when hitting water.

You are getting water in your CDI box connections.
The CDI box is mounted on the frame under the right front fender(throttle side). It's a small rectangular box(4"x3"x1").
Remove the connector from the CDI box and clean both ends. Apply dielectric grease to the connections and re-install. I also place heat-shrink over the connection and constrict it. Anything that can stop water from splashing up on it will help.
Hope this helps.
