i was just lookin through this kelly blue book place and i saw a dirt bike made by honda,.. it was a cr500r... it said it had a 500cc 2 stroke motor,... does any one know how fast this thing will go???

 

Too fast. Those will easily bring the front ends up in 5th gear. They are insane, as well as the KX500's. With stock gearing I heard in the mid 70's mph. But with a gearing change (they are geared low) they can easily exceed 100mph

That ATK 700 is INSANE!!!! That is just WAY to much power for a bike. All you would do is just spin the tire. And its not a bad price for what it comes with

 

I hve friends that have ridden 250 2 stroke bikes their whole live and won't touch the cr500 they just say they never need that much power and its a bear to control.

 

My brother has the CRF450R, with some pipes, jetting and a few teeth added to the front sproket. Top MPH is 102. His buddy has the KTM520 that will do 120 mph. I have ridden both the Honda and Yamaha 500cc class 2 stroke. The CR500 and YZ490, and they both are dangerous. They are fun to jump, but you have to be careful with them, the guy wasn't lying you can flip them in 5th gear.
