here's the deal,I want to get back into mx racing.
so what should I do? keep putting money into my 300ex to make it faster and handle better? buy a 250r for 2500 or 3000 and rebuild it? trade my 300ex in on a 400ex? what are ya'll paying each month on your 400ex's? or just sell my 300ex and get a 97 or 98 cr250? the cheapest way to get a awesome bike would probably be to get a cr250,but I wanna stay with quads.anyways ya'll tell me what ya think.later

since you said you wanna get in mx i would sell the 300ex and buy a 250r. Thats if you can find one but if you cant. Sell your 300 and use that money as a downpayment on it. Because when you trade in you get ripped off

Wait for Chris Stark to reply. He has a modified '00 300EX. He rides MX and is very happy with the results. E-mail him at chrisjstark@yahoo.com. It is also a good woods machine. In the first round of District 23 Hare Scrambles he went from last to 19 (out of 34).

Thanks for the kind words there Mike, but I would hardly brag up a 19th place finish(for the record it was really a 20th place overall) I did haul some butt to pass back half of the field at the end of the race, but too little....too late!

What to do......What to do.....

That is your choice there my friend. No one know's you, like you know yourself.....
Some people will reply and tell you to get a 400EX. Other's will tell you to stay with you 300EX.

Choices....Choices......

I can tell you that with the proper mods, a 300EX can be a very competitive racer. Remember, the quad is only a tool. The rider's are the difference in the race. At the PRO level, all of the racer's have pretty much the same machine's. But yet the same 5 guys always win. I wonder why?

In a field of around 50 machines. My 300EX is always one of the first 5 around the holeshot corner. And I compete with Banshee's, DS's, 400EX's and 250r's. It's just knowing your machine.......and knowing YOUR skills.

e-mail me and I will be happy too discuss any questions you may have. (chrisjstark@yahoo.com)

Remember, It's YOUR choice.

cstark i never had a problem with you until you just said that. People around here dont buy bikes to race like a bunch of rich people. We go out to are abonded strip mines and see who can go up the biigest hills

BTW in my post i didnt tell him to buy a scrambler now did i you just put words in my mouth...

Steve,

I was not referring to you in my post. I know that you did not say anything about a Scrambler. Your post was very informative and helpful.
But someone WILL probably recommend a Scrambler. Just like some people recommend the 400EX for every application known too man. I was just playing, no harm intended.
Please accept my apology. I have edited the post.

steve,

No problem. We are both adults.
Maybe sometime your Polaris and my Honda could even hook-up together and have some fun. What a mind blower......
