Is it possible to put an xr400 side case on a 400ex to have the kick starter just for a back up? Or will a 350x case fit? I heard that the internals are there all you would need is the case and kick starter and maybe the shaft, can anyone verify this?

 

I've heard on here before that you can use a xr400 case but you have to modify the back plastic to allow the backwards kick start to work

 

I just wanted it for a last resort, say if the battery craps 10 miles in the woods. Besides if I get a 400 ex im gonna save the stock plastics and get a set of cheapo race fenders for it, so moddin the fenders wont be a big deal.
