My '85 Big Red 250 motor completely blew up: valves, piston, rockers, camshaft, head, everything. It's currently getting completely re-built. The bike is in pretty good condition, new brakes, new maintenance free battery, new tires, two brand new spare tires, new electrical. When the motor is finished being rebuilt, how much do you think could I get for it in Canadian Dollars or U.S. Could I get around 2600$ CDN for the fact that the motor is rebuilt, new tires with spares, battery, etc? There are two minor cracks in the plastic, but they are fixed. The outside of the motor looks perfect, no oil leaks or anything, seat has no tears. What do you think?

for a '85 i would give you 1500 tops in perfect condition and i would go lower from there

 

My dad has a 250 big red that thing will never die. ive seen them from 600- 1800 $ yours would go for about 1200 $ u.s.

 

The thing is that here in Canada, I've seen COMPLETELY MINT condition 250 big reds go for 3000$CDN, and the motor is not rebuilt. So if my motor is pretty much brand new, I figure I could get around 2500CDN.
